Student borrowers with cancer can now pause their payments – It’s taken the government a year to implement this new legislation, but now people actively getting cancer treatment can pause payments on student loans. For some, this isn’t a big deal. But taking away the financial stress of student loans can help some patients focus more on getting healthy again.

The price of a cup of coffee may be the answer to fixing Social Security – I know lots of folks (especially in their 30’s and 40’s) have a firm belief that Social Security won’t be around when they retire. The truth is that I’ve read several modest proposals that could strengthen Social Security and extend its life by many years. It’s not a matter of whether it can it be done financially…it’s whether our politicians can actually pass a bill.
